ISF Cambodia celebrates 15th birthday by being shortlisted for global honour
NGO urges supporters to vote for it & donate for double the impact

On 13th September, ISF Cambodia, the acclaimed sports and education NGO, celebrates its 15th birthday with a milestone achievement. It has become the first Cambodian organization to ever be shortlisted in the international People’s Choice Awards for Best Organisations, in the category of Best Government or Non-Profit Organisation. There are 16 other organisations in the category, including Dubai Economy, the Turkish Technology Foundation and California State, USA. The winner will be decided by public vote, and ISF encourages everyone in Cambodia to support it.

Only organisations which have already won a prestigious Stevie International Business Award are eligible for the People’s Choice Awards. ISF Cambodia was awarded a Silver Trophy for Best Non-Profit, which led to it being automatically included in the People’s Choice Awards. ISF Cambodia was founded in 2006 to create new opportunities for disadvantaged Cambodian children living in slum areas of Phnom Penh. Its focus has centred around two programmes. Its education programme has been designed to help children who have been forced out of school by poverty, and provides a unique catch up programme which allows them to return to mainstream education. Its award-winning football programme exists to give disadvantaged children across the country the chance to play, learn and develop their confidence, with 3,000 participating in its famous football leagues, including children living with disabilities or HIV.

As well as the public vote, ISF is also celebrating its 15th birthday by taking part in a double donation scheme where every new donation up to $50 is doubled if it is made at https://bit.ly/voteisf between 13th and 17th September. ISF has set itself a birthday target of raising $1,500 for its education programme over the five days, so supporters wanting to help it celebrate can donate there.
