ISF Chbar Ampov Students Receive State School Certificate

When students first come to ISF, many of them have had no or only very little education. They are behind compared to their age group. We start them in our fast-track Catch-Up Programme to help them make up this difference. Once they have caught up to the right grade for their age, we integrate them into government-sponsored State School. Once they are at State School, they can come to ISF for extra English and IT classes, as well as nutritional and healthcare support and extracurricular activities. We support our students from the moment they arrive at our Education Centre to the day they graduate from secondary school and beyond into tertiary education or employment.
During the critical teenage State School years, it is very important for us to keep a close eye on students and give them extra support. Teenagers are at a particular risk of dropping out, due partly to familial pressures for them to find a job, and the integration into State School can be challenging for some. Therefore good cooperation with the state school director and teachers are vital for us. This allows us to follow-up on our students’ academic performance and behaviour and to provide full support to them.
At ISF Chbar Ampov, we have integrated 93 students to the State School system over the last 3 years. As ISF’s students have performed very well at the State School , the State School director awarded ISF with a “Certification of Appreciation”. She added: “I am really glad to continue to cooperate with ISF and hope the ISF programme will continue to do well with support from all the relevant ministries and organizations in Cambodia.”
The staff and students at ISF Chbar Ampov are so excited to receive this certificate!
