AMCHAM and Khmer Times Give Marginalised Children a Second Chance at Education through ISF Cambodia’s Work.
Phnom Penh, on September 21, 2022, American Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (AMCHAM), led by Mr. Anthony Galliano, and Khmer Times donated US$ 5,000 and 20 bicycles to ISF Cambodia to support children in ISF’s Education Programme.
ISF Country Manager Vicheka Chourp stated: “On behalf of all of us at ISF, I am extremely honored to receive such amazing support from AMCHAM for our life-change Education Programme. I would like to extend a heart-felt thank you to AMCHAM for recognising our 16 years of work providing education and sports to poor children as well as community projects to support their families and communities. This recognition plays a vital role in promoting the impact of our programme which improves the lives of many Cambodian children while encouraging partners and local companies to support us.”
Mr. Anthony Galliano, AmCham President, also gave his remarks stating: “Today, I am thrilled to see firsthand ISF’s work and to help change the lives of poor children through ISF’s Education Programme. Children are the nation’s future. I believe that our contribution will give them the education they deserve and help them build a brighter future with gainful employment. ”
In reflecting on ISF’s mission, Mrs. Vicheka and all ISF staff are committed to increasing access to education, healthcare and sport, enabling underprivileged children to escape poverty.
Acknowledging ISF’s incredible impact, Mr. Anthony Galliano praised ISF’s work and was extremely touched by the smiles of students at ISF.
