As his term as Chairman of the ISF Board has recently come to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Peter Slater, founder of the Indochina Starfish Foundation and Chairman of the organisation’s Board of Trustees for the past 10 years.
The Indochina Starfish Foundation (ISF) was formed in 2006. The organization has grown considerably over the past 10 years from teaching 15 children English in one small rented room to teaching more than 600 children the full local curriculum in two dedicated schools, as well as providing healthcare, community support, employment and vocational training and grassroot football activities. Thanks to his hard work and commitment, Peter has helped us become the strong organization we are now, giving disadvantaged and marginalized Cambodian children the tools to achieve their dreams and ambitions.
Peter’s ongoing support has been incredibly important to us and we hope to continue to build on the success of ISF under our new Chairman’s guidance. We are delighted to announce that our trustee Martin Cubbon will take on the role of Chairman and we look forward to continuing to build on the great work that Peter has done over the last ten years. With over 30 years of experience in the finance sector, Martin has always been an enthusiastic ISF supporter and has been on our board since shortly after ISF was founded. Martin’s vision and commitment has made ISF a better organization and we look forward to seeing what we can accomplish in the upcoming years.
On behalf of the whole ISF family, we would like to thank Peter for everything that he has done for ISF children, their families and communities, and all of the ISF staff.
