The story that is our guiding principle
Once upon a time, there was a man walking along the beach. The shore was covered with thousands of starfish that had been washed ashore by the tide. As the man walked, he noticed a little boy picking up starfish and throwing them back into the ocean.
Curious, the man asked the boy, “Why are you throwing the starfish back into the sea? There are so many of them, and you can’t possibly make a difference.”
The boy picked up another starfish, gently tossed it into the water, and replied, “It made a difference for that one.”
