We believe that every child, no matter where they are born, has the right to quality education, healthcare and sports and play. Unfortunately, many children in Cambodia don’t enjoy those rights.
All of our students at ISF come from Phnom Penh’s poor, urban settlements and when they join ISF’s Catch-Up Education Programme they will have likely never attended school before and never have received healthcare before. The aim of our programme is to give each student the foundation of a quality education, improve their health and nutrition, build their confidence and give them the opportunity to build a brighter future.
Our Catch-up Programme teaches two grades of the Khmer curriculum in one year. Once students reach the appropriate grade for their age, we then support them to study at local state school. We offer ongoing holistic support to all our Education Programme students including healthcare, two school meals six days per week, monthly food parcels for their families, school fees, uniforms and other materials, English classes, computer classes, extra-curricular activities such as sport and dance, vocational training and employment support.
