Meet our Trustees
Our Board of Trustees comprises veterans of the business world in Hong Kong, the UK and Australia. Their experience in the finance and banking industries ensures ISF’s financial accountability and good governance.
Martin Murray OBE – ISF Chairman
Finance Director - Swire Pacific Limited
Martin Murray is Finance Director of Swire Pacific Limited. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Swire Properties. Martin was previously Chief Financial Officer of Cathay Pacific. Prior to joining Cathay Pacific in November 2011, Mr Murray was Deputy Finance Director of Swire Pacific Limited – a post he took up in August 2009. Formerly with Ernst & Young in Scotland and Hong Kong, Mr Murray joined the Swire group in January 1995 and worked for the group in the Hong Kong SAR, the USA, Singapore and Australia. His roles included Manager Treasury, Finance Director Trading Division, Finance Director of the Shipping Division and Finance Director of John Swire & Sons Pty Ltd. Mr Murray graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1988 with a Bachelor of Accountancy degree. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland and the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He is also a member of the Council of The Hong Kong Management Association. He is married with two children.
Leo Brogan
Chartered Accountant - Brogan & Co
Leo Brogan began working in the accountancy profession in 1975 and has worked in the United Kingdom, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia. He provides a range of specialist advice to his clients, especially in the areas of private client work using company and trust structures, where he can provide both financial and managerial advice. Leo has an array of professional and industry qualifications including a Bachelor of Commerce, Master of Laws, a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, as well as a Registered Company Auditor. He retired as Chairman of the ISF Football Committee in November 2022 after overseeing the development of the football program since 2006. Leo also acts as trustee to four Australian based Foundations; and also provides pro bono accounting and audit services to a number of charities.
Martin Cubbon
Executive Director - John Swire & Sons Ltd
Martin Cubbon is an executive director of John Swire & Sons Ltd with specific responsibility for ‘non-core’ investment. He is also a director of United States Cold Storage and James Finlay Limited. He was previously Group Finance Director of from September 1998 to February 2009, Chief Executive of Swire Properties Limited from March 2009 until December 2014 and Corporate Development and Finance Director of Swire Pacific Limited responsible for all aspects of the group’s new business development and finance, reporting to the Chairman from 2014 to 2017. He was also a non-Executive Director of Limited from 1998 to 2009 and from 2015 to 2017. Mr. Cubbon was born in Britain in 1957. He graduated from the University of Liverpool with a BA Honours in Economics and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1983, working for Arthur Andersen in the U.K. before joining Swire Group in 1986. Mr. Cubbon is married and has two sons and a daughter.
Robert Gazzi
Independent Non Executive Director
Robert retired as a partner with PwC in Hong Kong in 2012 having joined them in 1982. Prior to that he worked and trained in London and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accounts in England & Wales and also a Fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Public Accountants. He was chairman of Angkor Hospital for Children (AHC), a leading paediatric and teaching hospital in Cambodia, from 2013 to 2022 and continues to serve on the board. AHC treats over 100,000 children each year with some of the most advanced treatments in the country. It also provides extensive health education to adults and children in the provinces in Cambodia. He also sits on the boards of a number of private companies including Morgan Stanley Bank Asia and FWD Life Insurance (Bermuda) which are based in Hong Kong. Robert has been visiting Cambodia since 1996 when he was responsible for overseeing PwC’s Indochina operations. He has been a trustee of ISF since 2007.
Mark Ashall
Chairman - Ashall Projects Ltd
Mark is the Chairman and majority owner of an award winning commercial property development company based in the north of England. Recent developments include Center Square Grade A offices in Middlebrough, Cobalt Park near Newcastle and 3 branded hotels in the north of England. He has also held a number of senior management roles in companies based in Asia, initially in the industries and aviation divisions of the Swire Group and more recently as a director of Indochina Assets Ltd which operates hotels, bars and restaurants in Cambodia. He holds a BA in Modern History and Economics from Oxford University.
Erik Lorenz
Entrepreneur & Angel Investor
Erik is an entrepreneur and angel investor focused on sports media and tech-related ventures. He is the founder and CEO of the Singapore-based boutique investment firm HeyVentures Pte. Ltd. Until December 2015 Erik was Managing Director Sales & Marketing at the worldwide leading provider of sports data services . Prior to that Erik worked for the (DFL) where he was responsible for the international marketing activities of the German as Manager International & New Business. Previously he was Financial & IT Director at the French subsidiary of the fashion accessory supplier in Paris. Erik has worked and studied in Europe, Africa, North America and Asia. He holds a Bachelor of Honours Degree in International Business Administration from RheinMain University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden, Germany.
Miranda Leung
Director and Legal Consultant
Miranda Leung obtained a bachelor degree at Magdalen College, Oxford and practised as a lawyer for 26 years at Slaughter and May, 16 years of which as a partner. After leaving Slaughter and May at the end of 2016, she became an independent non-executive director of China Literature Ltd, a HK listed company which is the largest e-book and e-publisher in China with a large TV and film production studio in October 2017. She is also on a committee of the board of Aviva Insurance, the largest UK insurance company in the UK as an independent member to review the with-profits insurance business. She was a director of an academy trust in the UK which runs 11 schools between 2015 to 2019. She is also studying fine art in London.
Pat Healy
Chairman of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited
Patrick Healy is Chair of Cathay Pacific Airways Limited and Swire Coca-Cola Limited. He is also Executive Director with board-level oversight of Sustainable Development at Swire Pacific Limited. Mr. Healy is also a Director and chairs the Philanthropy Council of John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Limited. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Air China Limited. Mr Healy has been with the Swire Group for 35 years. He joined John Swire & Sons in 1988 as a management trainee. After six years with the Group’s Industries Division in the Hong Kong SAR and Germany, he transferred to Swire Coca-Cola in 1994, where he worked in various roles in bottling operations in Beijing, Nanjing, Xian and Xiamen until 2012. He was General Manager of the Shaanxi bottler from 2001-2005 and General Manager of the Fujian bottler from 2005-2008. In July 2008 he was appointed CEO, HAECO Xiamen. Mr Healy returned to Hong Kong in 2012 to take up the role of Managing Director, Swire Coca-Cola. He became Chair of Swire Coca-Cola and Cathay Pacific on 1st October and 6th November 2019 respectively. Mr Healy is an Advisory Board Member of the Swire Institute of Marine Science (SWIMS) and a Member of the Employers’ Federation of Hong Kong General Committee. Mr Healy was born in 1965 and graduated in 1988 from St. John’s College, Cambridge University, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Modern Languages. He is married with three children.
Jeffrey Roskell
Investor
Jeff graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Economics. He joined Prudential Portfolio Managers as a graduate trainee and worked in their European Equities Team. In 1997, he moved to Hong Kong to join Jardine Fleming Asset Management, which subsequently became a division of JP Morgan Asset Management. Jeff specialised in Asian equities from 2000 and became a Managing Director in 2005. He was both a Director and Responsible Officer of the Hong Kong legal entity. He has invested across every major market equity in Europe and Asia and has managed funds for a broad range of clients from most parts of the world, including large pension funds, sovereign wealth funds and mutual funds. His last role was as the Head of the Emerging Markets and Asia Pacific Equity Income Team. He retired from JP Morgan in 2024 but remains an active investor. He is a keen sportsman, having first visited ISF with his football team. He now plays golf and pickleball. He and his wife live in Hong Kong and have two daughters and three cats.
Tanya Kitt
Director in the AIA Group
Tanya Kitt is a Director in the AIA Group Chief Executive & President’s Office, based in Hong Kong. Since 2019, she has provided oversight and support on the execution of AIA Group’s key strategic priorities, as well as special projects. Prior to this, she held various roles in AIA’s Group Corporate Solutions division and has extensive experience working with AIA’s markets across the Asia Pacific region. Before joining AIA in 2015, Tanya was a Legal Counsel in the United Kingdom, specialising in advertising, digital marketing and general corporate matters. She holds a Master of Laws degree from the University of Edinburgh and a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Mumbai.
