We were delighted to welcome the Hong Kong Football Club (HKFC) back to Phnom Penh for the 7th annual ISF-HKFC Football Tournament on 1-3 June 2018. This year, almost 80 players and coaches participated from their U10, U12 & U14 boys and girls teams.

Saturday afternoon’s friendly matches between HKFC and our ISF players allowed both sides to check the competition and get to know each other a little bit. Sunday was match day with seven teams from the Hong Kong Football Club and 18 ISF-sponsored teams taking part in the event.

Throughout the day, all teams gave it their all to be crowned the winners of their group. HKFC P5 won the Boy’s U10s, HKFC P6 (1) won the Boy’s U12s, ISF’s Cheoung Kerp won the Girl’s U12s, HKFC won the U14 Girl’s and HKFC won the Boy’s u14. All results can be found here.

Over the weekend, the HKFC visitors enjoyed a well-deserved dinner at the Chinese House in Phnom Penh, which culminated in the much anticipated bug competition in which the kids competed to see who could eat more bugs. Visitors also had the chance to visit our education centre in Chbar Ampov and participate in activities with our students and the wider community.

HKFC’s support is greatly appreciated by all of us here at ISF and we’re already looking forward to next year’s tournament!
