On Friday 17 August , 262 of our students from ISF’s Chbar Ampov Education Centre enjoyed a experiential learning field trip to Tamao Zoo, Cambodia. All of our students come from impoverished backgrounds where opportunities to participate in a school field trips like this are few and far between.

Here at ISF, we value experiential learning and wish to introduce students to new settings where they can consolidate the theory that they learn in class. Field trips like this are important to learning; a shared social experience provides the opportunity for students to encounter and explore novel things in an authentic setting leading them to increased interest and engagement in their studies.

In addition to this, taking the students out of the classroom and into a new environment allows them to work as a team with their classmates and make lifelong memories among peers, which we hope is a fun learning experience in itself and a reward for all hard work they’ve put into their studies all year.
