Bringing together 25 U14’s girls teams from NGO’s and local government schools representing 7 Cambodian Provinces, the fifth Barclays/ISF U14 Girls Football Tournament was held at the Phnom Penh Mekong Pitch on 15 February 2014. This one-day tournament started at 8.30am and finished at 5pm, was hosted by Indochina Starfish Foundation (ISF), in partnership with the Football Federation of Cambodia and our sponsors, Barclays.

The tournament was an opportunity for the players in the ISF football programme to showcase their skills and come together to compete. As part of ISF’s effort to extend the programme to players of all abilities, this year’s tournament included three teams made up of deaf and hearing impaired players.

The semi-finals and final were exciting to watch with the Ta Ream School from Kampong Thom holding the trophy, after a thrilling penalty shoot out against the ANDC Bulls.
In addition, ISF hosted games with the players with intellectual disabilities that are supported in the football programme.

The event was a fun filled day out for the players and supporters and demonstrates ISF’s commitment to the development of youth football in Cambodia.
