Performance of ISF’s Chbar Ampov Catch-Up Students

In ISF’s Catch-Up Programme, we provide 2 school years in one academic year; each class in Chbar Ampov will finish one Grade from the start of the school year in November to the end of May. In May, the teachers in Chbar Ampov evaluate their student’s academic capacity, by reviewing their monthly progress and results in each subject: Khmer, maths, social studies and sciences.
We’re pleased to announce that 85 (91%) of our Catch-Up students will move up to the next grade. Some 8 students, who are behind in their respective classes will benefit from special support from our teachers on weekends, to get them up to the correct grades.
Here’s an overview of the results of our 93 Catch-Up students.

Rath, one of our students, came to ISF at the age of 12 and started at Grade 1 in 2012. Now she is studying in Grade 6. She was very excited to receive her results: “I never expected that I can study in Grade 6 . Because before I joined ISF, I have never been to school and when I started to study, I was the one of the students who had trouble learning. So I am really happy and also I am very grateful to my teachers who have been trying very hard in teaching and helping me.”
